and models using the GSM technology can connect well with
the Costa Rican telephone network. And we do our best

Can I SMS
Text Message To The United States and Other Countries?
YES. Customers
using our GSM cellular phones can SMS text message to the
United States, Mexico, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Panama
with unlimited FREE use.

Will I know My Rental Phone Number Before Arriving?
YES. We assign a
telephone number once we have a confirmation reservation.

Is There a Minimum Usage Charge?
NO. We do not
charge for a minimum usage. You are free to call all your
contacts within Costa Rica and receive all local and
international calls at no extra charge. Your calls to your
voice mail are also free of charges.

What Are Your Per
Minute Rates?
We do not
charge per minute for local calls made and received. Nor
is there a charge for all international calls you receive.
Our only per minute charge is for international calls you
place. Our rate is $1.25 per minute.

What Happens If I Have Problems with the Rental Phone?
This very
seldom happens, but should you have a problem with your
Rental Phone, we are there to help. In most cases the
problems are minor, but, in any event, we immediately
exchange the Rental Phone. If the Rental Phone is a GSM
phone you will keep the same phone number. Unfortunately,
for the TDMA phones there will be a need to change the
number. In the Central Valley (San José area) we can
respond to problem in less than 1/2 hour at most times. In
outlying areas like the beaches and jungles this will
depend on your location and available transportation. In
most cases, a new Rental Phone can be delivered all the
beach resorts within hours. There is no cost or charge to
you.

Do I Get Voicemail?
YES. All Rental Phones include Voicemail.
We provide you with a PIN number to access your voicemail
and customize the answering service. The Voicemail is
programmed in English for your convenience. GSM Rentals
Phones have the ability to choose different language
options. There is no extra charge for accessing your
voicemail.

What Does Your Rental Service Include?
Cellular Telephone Rentals service includes FREE
delivery and pick up (San José area only) of a Nokia
cellular telephone (except when the customer chooses to
your their telephone), quick charger and carrying case. We
also take the time to explain how the Rental Phone works,
how to access your voicemail, make and receive calls -
both locally and internationally - and answer your
questions. And a welcome to Costa Rica and service with a
smile!

I Will be Staying in Papagayo. Can I Get A Phone There?
YES.
We can have a Rental Phone delivered to your hotel in
the Papagayo Peninsula - Four Seasons, Allegro and Grand
Papagayo Occidental - waiting for you on your arrival and the
hotel will ship it back to us when you are finished There is
an additional charge for this service and it must be
pre-arranged a few days in advance of your arrival.

Will I Be Able to Use My Rental Phone Anywhere in Costa
Rica?
YES and NO. Cellular
telephone service in Costa Rica is provided by the state
owned monopoly on telecommunications. All cellular
telephones in Costa Rica are connected to their network
and service totally depends on them. We cannot make any
guarantees or promises. Having said, cellular coverage is
in 90% of the national territory. Certain areas have weak
to no coverage, but those areas are few.

What Are Your
Payment Methods?
We accept
all credit cards and eChecks online using
Paypal.
We also accept Visa cards in Costa Rica and of course, we
accept cash payments.

What Happens if I Lose or Damage the Rental Phone?
If you should lose the Rental Phone, unfortunately you
will have to pay for it. Our charge for the loss or total
damage of a Rental Phone is limited to a maximum of $125.
In the event the Rental Phone is damaged by repairable, we
will only charge you our cost to effect the repairs.

What Do
I Do If I Lose the Rental Phone?
In the case you lose the Rental Phone you should call the
number given to you on delivery
and
make your report. The service will be immediately suspended
and we will get a new Rental Phone out to you, usually
within the hour -- longer if you want to keep the same phone
number. You will be responsible for all international calls
made from the Rental Phone up to the time we receive your
report.

Do You Have Loss or Damage Insurance?
NO.
Sorry, there no insurance coverage is available for loss
or damage of the Rental Phone.

What Does the Deposit Cover and When Do I Get it Back?
The deposit is
our security for any loss or damage to the Rental Phone
(Max. $125) and any and all international calls you make
during the rental period. If you don't make any
international calls, we will refund the entire deposit
within 10-15 days of the Rental Phone return. Any
international calls made from the Rental Phone will be
deducted from the deposit.

Can I Get An Itemized Statement for My International
Calls?
YES.
Normally we
provide a summary report of all international minutes used
and the total charges. However, on request, we can provide
an itemized statement that include all minutes used,
destination of calls and cost.

YES. Our friendly
staff will meet your flight on arrival.

Can I Get A Rental Phone in Guanacaste?
YES. In Tamarindo
Beach you can visit our agent at the Best Western Vista
Villas hotel. For other destinations in the Guanacaste
area (Playa del Coco, Hermosa, Papagayo, Flamingo), we
arrange for a Rental Phone to be delivered to your hotel
or at the Daniel Oduber airport (Liberia) at an additional
charge.

Can I Get A Rental Phone in Manuel Antonio/Quepos?
YES. We can arrange
for you to pick and return you Rental Phone in Manuel
Antonio beach at no extra charge. For other destinations
in the Central Pacific area (Jacó, Punta Leona, Hermosa,
Puntarenas) we arrange for a Rental Phone to be delivered to
your hotel at an additional charge.

How Do I Return the Rental Phone?
We will arrange for the pick up of your Rental Phone at
your hotel or the airport at no additional charge. Also,
at major hotels, we can arrange for you to leave the
Rental Phone with the reception desk and we will pick up
later in the day. The major hotels have a registration
system and the Rental Phone is logged in with a time
stamp. We have not lost a Rental Phone yet in that way.

Do You Always Have Cell Phones Available To Rent?
YES. We have
sufficient stock of Rental Phones to meet every type of
demand and in all seasons, however, we do recommend a
prior reservation. For
long term rentals we buy new telephones and have
sufficient stock of cellular lines to meet the needs of
our customers.

Is the
Display on the Rental Phone in English or in Spanish?
All our Rental Phones are programmed for English. We can,
however, reprogram the Rental Phone for other languages.

Is My Voice Mail Box in English or Spanish?
We program the Voicemail box in English. GSM users can
modify the language from the Rental Phone unit, while TDMA
users need to make arrangements with us for reprogramming
of a language other than English.

What Happens if I Get or Dial a Wrong Number?
Wrong numbers
occur frequently from those who misdialed or from a
previous user. There is no charge for any and all calls
coming into your Rental Phone. There is a charge, however,
if you happen to dial the wrong international destination
number. To avoid excess charges in the event of a
improperly dialed number, hang up immediately, and you
will be charged the minimum one minute default by the
telephone company.

Why Can't I Get Cellular Service From the Telephone
Company?
In Costa Rica only Legal Residents - those in possession
of a residency cedula can obtain cellular telephone
company.
If
you are NOT a legal resident and cannot purchase cellular
service from the telephone number. And cellular
service is transferable only under strict conditions, that
anyone who offers you cellular service (a line) cannot
legally do so, even between a spouse or relatives. Be
careful!

without a Rental Phone.
